March 7, 2025

Originally published in 1994

“My Own Flying Machine” will be the theme of this year’s International Aviation Art Contest. This annual event sponsored by The National Aeronautic Association, National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO), and the FAA offers school age children the opportunity to become involved in aviation through art. The contest will be judged in three age categories, ages 5-8, ages 9-12, and ages 13-16. The art will be judged on creativity, presentation, technical ability and appropriateness to this year’s theme.

Students interested in participating in the 1995 Aviation Art Contest should contact the Aviation Division for contest entry forms and contest rules. The deadline for entries is January 11. Contact: TxDOT Aviation Division, P. O. Box 12607, Austin, TX 78711-2607, Attn: Art Contest.
